Equipment
Here is the arsenal of equipment we use!
HP Pavillion dv6000 laptop
Info here...
Digital Video Recorder (DVR) with 320GB
The DVR is a highly versatile tool in paranormal investigation. Not only can you record your investigation, but you can also monitor each member in the designated areas. It is also a lot easier to analyze the evidence than standard video cassette tapes.
Sony CCD Infrared Night Video Camera
We use four CCD night vision cameras for our investigations. These small cameras are easy to place and are very reliable. These work well in either outdoor or indoor environments. We also attach audio cables to these cameras so we can have live audio feed from each camera.
Sony CCD_TRV138 Handycam Hi8
This is one of our Hi8 cameras that we use primarly for short investigations and as an extra video camera where we can't feed our wired cameras to a certain place or location.
Sony HVL-IRM Infrared Light
These are infrared illuminators for our two cameras above. They extend the night vision on those cameras to about an extra 30 feet, which allows to see in pitch black darkness!
Canon PowerShot SX100 IS Digital Camera 8.0 megapixels
This is one of our digital cameras used during investigations. The digital camera is a great tool to use in investigations because the photos are easily viewed on a computer and enlarged in search of evidence.
EXTECH Digital EMF Meter

The camera has become one of the most important tools that a ghost hunter uses in every investigation. Many researchers have turned to the camera to provide proof that ghosts actually exist and that they can be captured on film.
Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP)
Known simply as "EVP's", these are actual recordings of disembodied voices or other sounds on a tape or digital recorder that weren't caused by any explainable source. They can artifact simple as a word, or as complex as a conversation. Most true EVP's are accompanied by static on the recorder. The biggest tell-tale sign is the actual frequency of the voices. Most EVP's are below the human vocal range.
EVP varies greatly and some are more easily heard and understood than others. They differ in age, gender, tone, and emotion. They are often single-words, phrases, and short sentences out of context to the conversation going on or questions being asked. Sometimes they are just random noises such as grunts, groans, and growling.
CLASS A EVP - is a message that can be heard without headphones and that people can generally agree on its content(s). They are usually the loudest with the words or phrases leaving little dispute over what is being said. Very clear and loud audio capture is obtained in a class A EVP.
CLASS B EVP - requires headphones to distinguish the message content and not everyone will agree on the message.
CLASS C EVP - requires headphones, often needs amplification and filtering, and will seldom even be heard by others.

I've been interested in the paranormal field since I was a kid. I'm a believer but I like to have proof of something before I fully believe it. Since I have been with G.H.O.U.L., I've seen, felt and heard things that can't be "explained" - and I love every minute of it!
Tech Manager - GH-7
Craig
The paranormal field has interested me for about the past 7 years. I find it exciting to try new equipment and investigate great places.

I’ve been involved in the paranormal field for about 7 years. My first paranormal experience was when I worked at Guardian Systems in Leeds, AL and I’ve been interested ever since. I've been touched and even had a handprint left on me from a spirit. My favorite investigation with G.H.O.U.L. was investigating the boiler room at Sloss Furnace in Birmingham, AL.

I’ve had numerous experiences throughout my life and I yearn for continuous knowledge and better understanding. Every investigation is unique – the best are those where we get solid undisputed evidence. G.H.O.U.L. is not just a team – we’re family.

I have been curious about the paranormal for about 10 years. I’ve seen a lot of things that made me believe in the existence of ghosts. I believe that spirits remain behind for several reasons and I want to know those reasons. I think that every spirit has a story to tell and I am willing to listen.

I have always been interested in the paranormal, but never experienced it quite like I did when joining G.H.O.U.L. My first investigation, I was very skeptical. However, it didn't take me long to turn me into a believer in the investigation of the spirit world.

About G.H.O.U.L.
Ghost Hunters of Uncommon Leagues, G.H.O.U.L., is a paranormal research society that was founded for the purpose to help find answers to the questions that we may all have about the understanding of the paranormal.
We do not charge for any of our investigations, or any part of our investigation process. We do this as a service for those in need and to help our clients resolve any issues they may have with the paranormal for there are not many places/avenues to turn to. We also do this to get a better understanding of the paranormal and the science of this field. Remember, our services are FREE of charge!
Our Mission
G.H.O.U.L. approaches every investigation objectively and open-minded. We primarily use hard science to document any paranormal activity scientifically. Our team tries to help our clients understand any occurrences they may be experiencing. Our goal is to help our clients, document any activity that may be occurring and try to explain, interpret, clarify, and reveal any evidence found to our clients. We will conduct our investigations professionally to find answers to any activity and resolve any issues. We strive in quality, professionalism and confidentiality!
Investigations
G.H.O.U.L has investigated historic landmarks, private residences, businesses, national battle fields, cemeteries, abandoned buildings and other locations – all with proper permission and approval.
We are still scheduling investigations for the remainder of this year. Investigations are scheduled mainly on Saturdays. Contact us if you are in need of an investigation (free of charge) or would like to suggest a place for us to go.
